You can have a past and a present, if you which to add more grist to the mill.
Is it a straight choice between Athers and Selvey or are there others you bow to first?
A rabble of ill-informed blow-hards spit their cricket-related diatribes of cuntishness onto an unsuspecting public.

Selvey on past form, although he does appear to be getting grumpier and more reactionary- sort of morphing into CMJ. I really like Gideon Haigh. He's an aussie, but very funny nonetheless.
Actually, king cricket is my new favourite, with gems like this-
Virender Sehwag gives his verdict on Jason Krejza
Bowled on October 7th, 2008 by King Cricket
“I think we will go after him.”
Run, Jason. Run!
There’s nothing left for you in India. Grab your passport and enough rupees to get you to the airport and just flee. You’re a marked man.
Virender Sehwag doesn’t do milking the spinners. If he wants spin-milk, he’s going right up to the cow of off-spin with a huge great sword and he’s getting it all out in one go. Then he’s going to roll around in the spin-milk, giggling.
Alright Jarms? Difficult week?
I'm a big fan of Ian Botham.
This is because of (i) the nostalgia I feel for lost rollinsonian days where the failures of England players was simply because they didn't try hard enough; (ii) because he makes poor bumble sound like Mike Brealey and (iii) because he commentates like he plays the game: i.e. pissed.
Also, I can't forgive Athers for his dreadful comments about Steve Harmison earlier this summer.
They will take a while to recover from: he, of all people, should not write people off when they are 29.
Also, his autobiography was nowhere near as good as it was touted to be.
But otherwise, I'd have been glad for him to attend my wedding. I'd have sat him next to don fagen.
Who does Botham write for then?! Can he even write?
I'm going to throw in a grenade here - what about Peter Roebuck?
I decided to extend it to commentators as well.
I only spend an hour a day trawling the papers so I can't claim to have expert knowledge.
By the way kris, I didn't realise that you could find this site via google.
