(code word for aussie cricketers will become 'punts'. this is a good code word for two reasosn: one, it is not a sware word; and two, its derivitive of 'ponting', who is known as 'punter', and who is, in case you didn't know, the biggest cunt of them all.)

one last cricketing point - the glos are very good at the moment. which is nice.

Low Anthem album is very good, yes. Especially the opening track, "Charlie Darwin". I will investigate Band of Heathens right this minute.

Right, some cricket - Pakistan are ace (in terms of both cricket and, more importantly, madness) and are now, officially, my second team. Sri Lanka are also ace (again, in both technical and psychoanalytical terms) and are now, officially, my second team. Not sure how that's going to work in practice so it's just as well it's only a theoretical title I've bestowed.

Lets clear up a few points.
Firstly Joseph is not a member of fetch. He wanted to be, but wary that the contents might offend him, I told him to fuck off.
Secondly, I only post so much on KC because none of you fuckers has posted on here for weeks. And also I've got a student doing all my teaching so I've got time on my hands.

Low Anthem - some good stuff (where they try to be Tom Waits), some awesome (where they try to be Fleet Foxes).
Jarvis Cocker's new album - some very good stuff (in a Pulp sense), some average (ie, not Pulp esque at all).
Grizzly Bear - super; what Gram Parsons would've sounded like in 1973 if he'd joined the Rolling Stones and "Their Satantic Majesties Request" had been successful enough to make them pursue psychedelic roots music.
Greg Laswell - does drift towards easy listening end of Americana spectrum occasionally but, generally, good.
