Right:
One or both of Andy Flower and Otis Gibson is a genius.
Broad, Anderson and Sidebottom are all of a sudden much better than they were...
Also, is Onions in ridiculous form, is a bit lucky (and we need that seeing as Broad, Flintoff and Anderson are relatively unlucky) or, actually, really quite good?
Well done on the selection either way.
Did you by any chance see the comments on Flower on cricinfo. Sounds like the guy for us.

Sorry if I've missed the bus (as Bumble might say) on this debate. I've got to catch up...

I've just been reading the latest round of blogs on the bbc website. it is interesting that those that appear to be australian lack the normal aussi vitriol; not that they're playing down the fact that they will win.
two things point to the reason for this:
1) they don't rate Hauritz;
2) they still think they can go in with 4 bowlers: Clark, Siddle, Johnson and Lee.
this means they will loose, and they know it. especially since Katich, Clarke and North will be bowl the waiting overs before the new ball. this is not strong.
Apparently, they are lacking Watson; and his inclusion would mean that they were putting out the best bolwing attack that, apparently, ponting can remember. but isn't he very average anyway?
surely they should be playing macdonald if this is what represents a balanced side? but he's really shit.
they're batting is woefully out of form as well - there's even talk of hussey being dropped.
in conclusion, i am happy that this is an ashes summer.
the comments on flower are excellent - he is clearly a sound guy.
i think sidebottom will play if 100% fit, mainly for the reason of variation - onions is very like anderson. the talk on the county scene seems to be that onions is very good.
