Wii Cricket

Any good jarms? Are the pressures of test cricket as you expected?

Actually only got it yesterday. Naturally Joseph kicked my ass to begin with because I am old and a very slow learner. But I am getting better. Now he's gone back to his mum's for a few days, I shall commence to practice 18 hours a day. Maybe I can work out a way to post each days play, session by session, on fetch for those long weeks with no international cricket...

Is there an online component?

That is, if I buy it, is there a way that I could play against you via t'internet?

Kris- in response to your question- I don't think so. To be fair, it is a game with many flaws. The graphics are a bit basic and lacking in style, the gameplay is a little monotonous, the computer does too much stuff for you (all fielding, appealing etc.) and the menu screens are not easy to negotiate. And yet the beauty of the concept of test cricket on the wii wins out, and it is, after all, ace.

Ben- in response to your question- having put the kiwis to the sword inside two days at the oval, I now genuinely believe I have what it takes to play test cricket, in the same way that after playing guitar hero, I genuinely believe I can play the guitar solo on 'do it again.'
