Around the counties

COME ON BOYS - WRITE SOMETHING!

Curiously, have you noticed that Read, Davis, Pothas, Wallace and Jones have all scored tons in the current round of championship matches, and Ambrose is currently on 70-odd? Do you think England's w/k job is up for grabs by any chance?

Also, we should have a debate about number 3 and third/fourth seamer for the first test. Regarding the latter, while it seems that Anderson and Broad are busy nailing down their spots, and Flintoff is fit (even if he is getting a bit of tap in Capetown) Hoggard has started impressively, as has Harmison. Who else is in the reckoning? Should we go back to one of these two? REgarding number 3: how many more runs do you think bell needs before he gets back in the team. I reckon another 5 centuries before the first test and I'll have to let him back in. What a twat that man is....

you may also have noticed the prevalence of finger-spinning all-rounders getting bags of wickets and runs: blackwell, keedy, batty etc. Maybe swann is not fit, and monty bizzare.

Flintoff getting injured certainly puts the cat amongst the pigeons. It also highlights Broad's 'not a twat'ishness. I reckon he should open the bowling and batting.
By the way, J. Jarman has been selected for the YMCA under 11 team toface Shirehampton on Monday- match report to follow.

sat up watching the glos v surry

surry are shite at the moment. and glos actually look quite good.

kirby is up around 90 and bowling well.

bandergee is not an england finger spinning option.

nice to see Vaughn get some form. he clearly has to be no 3 for WI.

broad is clearly the man to be next captain as well.

Glos looking pretty good, indeed.
I was thinking about an international 'Angry 11'. From yesterday's game, I'd open the bowling with Nel and Kirby. Grrrrrr. Yuvraj would need to be in there too. Any other ideas?

the Pakistan team, hanging in a pub, after hair has accused one of them of dodging his round.

yeah, they'd be especially cross being in a pub and not being able to drink alcohol.
